That's where the Cal experience benefited him IMO. In his early interviews and even one recently he talked about how being able to view Golden State Warriors practices helped evolved his thoughts offensively. Their practice facilities were close to the campus. Steve Kerr's son was a GA on his staff and he also leaned on assistant he knew from other professional teams. I don't think it a coincidence that once he got the Mizzou job he reached out to Mann who was familiar with the inner workings of pro style offense.
