people can't make a real informed judgement at this point. They are going on rankings and I get it. However this present recruiting class hasn't even played a game let alone a season so how can it be properly judged....because he missed out on Liddell? He got Mckinney who this time a year ago people were pinning for at least as much as Liddell. The only difference now is his recruiting ranking has dropped but not his game. As to the rankings they are good but a real coach has to be able to recognize talent for what he wants to do. Sometimes that goes beyond rankings. Look at Texas Tech they had 2 outstanding freshmen guards last year one of which was almost a NBA lottery pick. Neither of which were highly rated at all. We would take both in our program in a heart beat and would make it better. It took eventual champ Nova to beat them in the Elite 8. To further illustrate this point closer to home. The Horton, Brown, Grimes class versus the Denmon, English, Bowers class. Which was more successful and which would you take? One was a top 15 class while the other wasn't top 30. My bottom line point is it might be a good idea to at least wait and see how these present recruits perform before judging if they are good, bad or mediocre.
