is the difference in their primary impact on history. Jefferson is honored as a founder of the nation who happened to own slaves. Lee is honored as a general who fought in defense of slavery. What other contribution could you put next to Lee's name?

I'm kind of surprised a statue of Lee was ever built. Personally, I couldn't give a **** about any statue, though.
