I'm not saying Danario is proof that these guys will be great.
The point is to withhold judgment until the players actually do something. It's pretty tiring to see every new recruit met with whining upon committing. It's beyond childish.
I don't expect this class to lead us to a national championship. No one does. But they're plenty good on paper to get us back to where we were, which is a step toward that bigger goal.
There are very few coaches in the country who could sell Mizzou in its current state to top recruits AND maximize that talent once it got here. Most who could do that are at schools where they'll never leave.
In lieu of an elite coach—and we were never hiring an elite coach after Pinkel—we need to build. That takes time.
