Pinkel was loyal to a fault sometimes. He had several coaches on staff who contributed very little as recruiters (Jones and Walker come to mind, and interestingly Kul was rarely mentioned as a primary recruiter).
Odom does not take that same approach.
Pinkel's philosophy for building a program was not without flaws, but it was largely a good fit for Mizzou and the resources we have. Odom is attempting to supplement that.
