Close doesn't count. In fact we were soundly beaten in both attempts. And as I mentioned elsewhere, the record against the likes of ou, Texas et al is very poor. And several of them were blowouts. 0-4 in CCGs, and half of these were blowouts from the get go.
At the very least, where were the recruiters for GP and BO? Quality staffs are let go every year, there's NO ONE who is well known as a recruiter that interested us? Come on.
How was Mark Stoops able to sign a class of 4 stars in his first year? Hardly a blue blood in CFB.
At some point Missouri is going to have to change its recruiting philosophy and have some confidence it can go get highly rated recruits. Recruiting is seller and good recruiters are a talented bunch. Rather than just stay with the same year after year, mix it up and reach for better results. No team wins on a consistent basis with our recruiting philosophy.
