for behavior. And this country has such a good track record of dealing with PTSD for the military.
When I was having difficulty after a particularly grisly homicide scene, I told a supervisor about it. They had a psych on retainer for pre-employment and a chaplain who I never saw my entire time with the department. I was told by the supervisor the feelings would fade. It took me many weeks of seeing a 13-year old's agonal breathing with her head bashed in when I'd close my eyes and a crying fest at home involving hyperventilating to get it out of my system. I was at that crime scene way too long.
Look at the unions for the UAW...come to work drunk and get sent home with pay. Do it again and get another paid holiday. Eventually the supervisors just look the other way because all they are doing is giving the bad workers an extra vacation.
