then why blame the kids? They didn't make those participation trophies and they likely didn't care about them.

I'd blame the parents. The ones that apparently started the participation phenomenon but who are constantly complaining about it as well.

If a person feels that they are owed something in life, then that is a failure of their parents and their coaches/etc. I blame bad parenting.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
