Marshall Henderson was one of the top juco players in the country. The idea that recruiting rankings don't matter is just patently false. It's not impossible to make the tourney with the level we are recruiting. But the odds are incredibly slim to do so and rarely occur at the P5 level. When teams with lesser talent actually make the tourney it's usually just for a year when their talent matures and then they are back down in the middle of the conference for another 3 or so years. The true path to making the tourney year after year is to recruit top 150 recruits every year with sprinkled in 4-star top 75 talent on occasion.
