If everything were to go according to plan, we would have 5-6 guys averaging ppg in the low double digits, punctuated by any one guy going off on a particular night. The Italy games almost fit this model to a T. And I think that's doable with who we're bringing in.
TP, KP, Walton, Hughes, Barnett and Jackson are capable of averaging low double figures. CVL is a wild card: may only average 8-9 ppg, but is capable of having nights where he scores over 15.
I agree with you that this hydra concept can only go so far. Once you get to the top 20 teams, you've got to have one or two standout players. But that's not where we're aiming right now, and we can certainly make the tourney without an NBA caliber player. We're creating the roster stability where we can have a player like that come in with great pieces around him.
