He was held out of competition because of the initial notification by the NCAA that something was done improperly in terms of his qualifications and the process used to getting him eligible. Also it related to his form he filled out after the internship in terms of his responses. Once that was concluded, he rejoined the team.
He was not paid more than any other participant, where are you seeing that to be the case?
MU received notice that it was under investigation prior to Gant even leaving to participate in the internship. If there were questions about its validity given that student athletes had taken part in the same internship the year before and all the correspondence and documentation was submitted to the compliance department, then that is a failure on their part to allow an improper internship to occur again after already receiving notice from the NCAA of an investigation.
