Because I do think we have more real talent and potential All-Conference types than most assume. That includes Phillips and Puryear. But people also forget that K.J. Walton was a Top 100 pickup with big offers, and I'm optimistic that Barnett can live up to his billing out of high school now that he's at home in a better situation. And Hughes and Jackson were not afterthoughts in the recruiting game. C.J. Roberts is a big pickup for 2017, too.
Yes, it's been a rocky road with so many players transferring out of the program. And, absolutely, Kim Anderson and the staff needs to look toward elite big men in the Class of 2017 and beyond.
But there are certainly SEC-caliber players on this roster. Year Three is Kim's chance to prove he can start building a program the way he wants-- and I think he'll do it.
