3 years is more than enough to turn a basketball program around. This idea that it should take 5 years to turn a program around is lunacy. There are dozens of recent examples of coaches taking over programs in terrible shape and making the tourney in 3 years.

I think you are wanting to give Kim a free pass on the last two years with your constant claims that there are no quick fixes and it's reasonable or normal for a coach to take 5 years to rebuild a program to the NCAA tournament. Maybe if you give Kim 5 years he might be able to do it but good coaches can start a rebuild instantly on being hired and have the program back in the tourney in year 3.
