He was asked to be a go-to player on a team devoid of a true scorer such as Buddy Hield. J3 would best be utilized as a low block 4 man who gets rebounds and scores around the basket. He wanted to be a stretch 4 like Lamar Odom. He wasn't good enough to do so. The reason he left wasn't how he was used it was the teammates that he didn't fit in with (last years sophomore class). Had that class not been here he likely would have stayed.
