If you feel he wasn't good yet at anything other than rebounding, then isolating him at the elbow or dumping the ball to him at the 3 point arc in space all the time and asking him to create as the shot clock wound down was not ideal. He was asked to be the go to player and play a role he was not close to equipped to succeed in yet.
I think its circular. There was an initial lack of respect for Kim, and then it manifests itself greater when there is no success and he starts throwing players under the bus and making excuses with no answers. That leads to less respect and buy in. Even if there is initial buy in, eventually it wanes.
