I don't have a doubt that police shootings would fall if they have body cameras. For one, I think most cops are moral and decent. It's only a few bad apples that spoil the bunch. I just think body cameras would make rogue cops think twice before conducting illegal shootings.
As for data on police shootings, you can shape the data to fit whatever narrative you see fit. The facts are this. Police departments aren't mandated to report police shootings by race so the data is incomplete.
What we do have are bad optics where 12 year olds who are unarmed and shot, yet too many excuse the shootings. That's what upsets many in the black community.
