Sorry don't know how to link to the article, but here are the 3 questions and answers relating to EEs status:
Q: Chancellor Foley said a couple days ago in regards to Ehren Earleywine that there were no Title IX violations found. What’s the next step now, and how much will you be involved with making that final decision on Ehren’s future?
A: I’ll definitely be involved in the discussions and certainly keeping the chancellor informed every step of the way, as well. Now it’s come back to just determining what’s going to be the best step forward for that program and for our entire department and being as efficient as we can so we can be respectful of the student-athletes, the rest of our staff with Coach Earleywine and not leave things hanging than they need to be. So, again, we’re hoping to have conversations and come to a good resolution sooner rather than later.
Q: From what I’m hearing, you may get together with Earleywine next week. Is that the timeline that you’re working on?
A: I hesitate to really give you a timeline right now, but, again, just trying to be as efficient as we can be, knowing that school is going to start just around the corner.
Q: Just to be clear, has a formal decision been made, one way or the other, in terms of whether Earleywine is going to be the coach in 2017?
A: We are still in the discussion phase. Again, I don’t want to go too far. It’s conversations with Coach Earleywine and wanting to be respectful of that. That’s probably as far as I would go at this point.
Anyone want to read the tea leaves and say what you think she meant? Has the decision been made to keep EE, and they are just getting their ducks in a row for the announcement? Or is there serious debate going on within the athletic department as to whether he stays or goes. And how much is Mack still involved? Or his 3 hit men (women) who bullied and harassed girls during their 'unbiased search for the truth' interviews? Reesman says she wants to come to a good resolution. Maybe that's a good sign. How could firing EE at this point be considered a good resolution by anyone?
