"better" in this thinking and I just can't abide that.
I have ZERO issue with the last sentence, but don't agree at all with the premises upon which it was built.
I'd simply state that whether your lack of (financial, commercial, business) success is due 100% to your birthed status or 100% due to your personal capabilities (psychology, mental/physical toolkit) or 100% sheer dumb luck - or any combination thereof:
It's a good philosophy of life to limit the priority of external validation and materialism and to focus on human happiness and the things that bring it to you.
None of that requires abdicating ownership for your plight nor even evaluating the causes - it focuses rather on how you view yourself, your happiness, your place in the world without the baggage of analyzing the rest.
