changed, and people altruistically act in accordance with what is best for society in general rather than in what they perceive to be their own best interests, then you are a defeatist.

You might as well just sit back and enjoy life as best you can, or cope as best you can, depending upon your point of view, until His Second Coming. Because people are going to act in sinful ways until then, though morality may ebb and flow in strength in any given society over time.

But even when that time comes, you will need to brace yourself, because you will also have to change. You will need to renounce your porn addiction & probably even burn your collection... unless it has grown so large as to be a threat to the environment, in which case you will need to bury it or recycle it.
