announced. Ideally, he would have had some buy in & the tariffs could have been moderated a bit, depending upon how much our trading partners actually bought in. Even if there was a lot of resistance & the tariffs ended up being similar, it likely wouldn't have created quite as much initial shock.

But the bottom line, is that what he outlines sounds very logical and balanced. Hopefully other countries will take their time to mull over the proposal & its implications and dialogue about it all with us before making any rash decisions.

If they don't, playing hardball may be the best viable option.
