1) file for unemployment and get that rolling
2) go on linkedin and set your status to "open to work" - that signals to recruiters (both headhunters and hr people) that you're available
3) start looking through jobs on linkedin and save anything that looks interesting - but don't apply yet
4) start updating your resume. create different versions that are tailored to the specific openings you found above. there are a number of AI tools that you can use to drop in the job description and your resume and say "create a new resume based on this job description." you'll need to make sure you edit it carefully because AI can come up with some silly stuff, but that will cut a ton of time for you and will help with the HR software screens.
5a) of those interesting jobs, see if you have any connections in that company and reach out to them and say "hey i saw this job opening - know anything about it?" and see if they can make an introduction, or even pass your resume to HR. most companies have a referral program so they get incentivized to pass along your resume, and this bypasses the crappy screening software the HR people use
5b) if you don't have any existing connections, see if there's anyone there you know and try to make a connection, then go to 5a.
6) masturbate. a lot.
7) update us when you've landed your new dream job.
