is specialized. Not many jobs but when someone needs this skill set, they don't have a lot of people to choose from so it is good and bad, feast or famine.

But #1 every time a recruiter wants to get connected, I accept.
#2 when they give you those list of people who you or people you are connected to in your industry and they all have the same recruiters, I send them a request to connect. So I will comb those lists to be on their radar.
You certainly can connect to just any recruiter... but the ones in your area of expertise that others are connected to will be the most likely to help or give options.

What is funny is when you see your boss or subordinates connected to the same industry recruiters and that is why sometimes I don't connect to certain superiors
