and if your boss knows folks are contacting you all the time maybe they treat you a little better to keep you ... but there are some that are just bitter that you have people wanting you for other positions.

I am not really a job hopper as i have been with my current company going on 10 years and own enough stock in a growing company that I don't think others could match my total package but anyone can be let go at any time so I do keep in touch with recruiters and mostly try to help them find folks for the positions they are trying to fill .... as most aren't any better than mine but some get close
