to the school I originally worked at so I'm not sure how to count that one. Teaching is a bit different because there are no real promotions if you want to teach. You can move over to admin or counseling but are those promotions or just different career tracks? My wife and I have both chosen to stay in the classroom, I have two sisters-in-law who have made the switch to admin. They get paid a hell of a lot more but I think both miss their classrooms and kids.
I'm sure the business world is the same but schools are defined by their Principals. Every time I changed jobs it was because there was a change at the top and I had philosophical differences with the new person.
