but he just lacks any awareness of how to keep a job, and does dumb crap. His first firing was getting drunk at a Christmas party and spouting off to the owner.

After about any conversation for about 2 minutes, you know all of his opinions, and he is right on everything.

When you are not the boss, you have to check your ego and opinion at the door at times.
