in between his freshman and senior seasons of basketball. He wasn't on anyone's radar as a big man until he was an upperclassmen, and back then AAU wasn't as big of a thing. I don't know what recruiting ranking he had, though.

Also, the real Dr. Detroit was Vic Adams, who was from the Detroit area was getting paid under the table to funnel players to MU.
