losing 5 of his last 6 games that season contributed considerably to his decision. He had a single style of play he knew how to coach, and he had kind of compiled a roster that didn't fit it. English was a disaster, Ratliffe wasn't suited to do the things Carroll had done, and our guards were all small without length. We might have been ok that next season, but we weren't going to have the same kind of season we ended up having and he wasn't going to adjust his coaching to fit the personnel.
