its is inarguably inconsistent to say that Haith was a poor hire and Self would have been a home run hire, unless you are retroactively applying insight via hindsight and speculation. They were at best comparable candidates at the time of selection, but by any measure Haith actually had a slightly superior resume.

You can't blast the Haith hire and at the same time say it was a mistake to have not hired Self.
