I just don't see it. The way networks work is you get a premium for your footprint. We already have texas in the footprint so there is no windfall. You could argue the game of the week contract would be higher with them because they are "marquee names"... but tejas hasn't been marquee since the last realignment (hence why they are wanting to move they realize they ****ed up). OU is marquee only relative to the little xii and gets exposed whenever they play a real team. It's not as though the game of the week is having a tough time finding good matchups right now.



Couple that with the fact there are voting blocks inside the SEC that have banded together to keep teams from existing footprints out in the past (SC, Georgia, Florida) and that MU, Arky and A&M would vote a hard no there is very little chance tejas gets in.


You keep saying tejas is so great but why? What do they offer besides an unwarranted ego?


I love MU but the main reason if not only reason we got in the SEC was our untapped TVs. Texas TVs have been tapped.
