the judges out of thin air is enforced today as part of the law. This isn't about their stated job duties (because I can assure you that the cool sheriff's job duties don't say: "enforce the law when you feel like it").

Embezzlement by the CFO may not be a job duty, but it's also not accepted as okay ever.
