Interesting how few BB Players went to Mizzou vs FB players

We've seldom been a national player in Basketball and only slightly better in Football (The Devine, Faurot and Pinkel eras) Why??? Recruiting? Coaches? Mizzou's image? Failure to compete for titles? Weak administration? etc.

Those few instances when we did compete on a national level we failed to sustain it which explains why no one views Mizzou as a perennial Top 20 program with national aspirations. In Mizzou's 130 years of intercollegiate sports we have won two national titles (Baseball 1954 and Indoor Track 1965) placing Mizzou among the lowest total titles among all Power 5 sports programs. But we have to start somewhere and hopefully Coach Drinkwitz can change things. Go Tigers!
