academics and semi pro athletics should not be mixed. Right now, if you want to play NFL or NBA, you pretty much have to to go college to college as the minor league system. NBA is slowly changing that.

College needs to go back to amateur athletics and stay that way....but there is a lot of $$$ and power there so they won't.
