and taxes. If we disagree with them we can elect others to take their place. If that still is not satisfactory then we have the final option of leaving.
Hokie's SEC example is good but he does not have enough history with Mizzou to complete it.
Why are we in the SEC? We left the Big 12 because we were unhappy with the distribution of funds and power there. Those directly correlate to laws and taxes we are obligated to. Mizzou spoke up and tried to change the power structure but failed. In effect, We could not get our candidates into high enough office. We finally decided we could not take the current system any more and moved to one we found more compatable.
