"It's just the flu" was silly. There are no tests. There are no vaccines. We don't fully understand the pathology or transmission.

"2M may die" was silly. If there is very, very limited testing you know the only ones being tested are the very worst case people who wind up in the hospital. Trying to extrapolate that data over a population is preposterous.

This is really a sad episode on so many levels.
