Anyone who references "the vapors" is good in my book.
Older people, and those with comorbid conditions that line up poorly with COVID, should be careful. Anyone else who is carrying any burden of great worry about this is simply wasting their time and energy.
And my firm positions were not guesses. I can only assume the government did what they did out of the great fear of being wrong. To be honest, based on what we actually knew of this it never made sense from the first dire predictions. I wasn't being cavalier in sharing my opinion. It was truly what made sense. Again, those in high places may need a much greater confidence threshold to be so open about the true risk. They have a need to protect the public and take that very seriously. But I never saw it, I don't believe the facts saw it and it is pretty much playing out as many of us thought it would. Only with an economic destruction and debt crushing aspect that likely was not necessary. That makes me both sad and angry.
