can easily drop $500 weekend on the low end depending on what lodging is (not personally sure anymore). Even without it you're looking at $300-400 minimum. It's not crazy to do it one or two weekends but to assume you're doing it for every home game, that's a lot for people.
The past three years instead of the money I was spending attending games each year (per 2014-2015 prices) I just stocked away and ended up having enough for a two week vacation in Alaska and a three week vacation in Europe with my wife.
So yea, that's personally why I stopped going. It ain't cheap and there are other things I'd rather be doing with it if the team is going to go 6-6 and play in Shreveport. "Show Me"
Edit: And yes, I still donate every year. Being in Chicago now also makes it more difficult than STL/KC.
