is quite different than actively and intentionally killing them.
As I understand it making those decisions for Mom or Dad are also subject to legal restrictions, such as the parents giving others the right to make such medical decisions on their behalf &/or medical directives indicating what they want to happen in various circumstances.
One can't pay a doctor to just go in & start ripping your comatose Mother or Father limb from limb )without so much as anesthesia).
