are openly pro-abortion and some Democrats are strongly pro-life. Others, of course, may pretend to be pro-life, but are in fact pro-abortion... or are truly pro-life and succumb to pressures and get an abortion or recommend an abortion when faced with a crisis.

Those who profess to be pro-life because it is to their benefit to do so, but are in fact pro-abortion are in fact the hypocrites.

It would be a false syllogism to assert something along the lines of:

A. To publicly claim to be pro-life while in fact being pro-abortion in one's actions is hypocritical.

B. Some/many Republicans claim to be pro-life while in fact being pro-abortion in their actions.

C. Therefore all Republicans are hypocritical.

The logic is not sound.
