games last year, which considerably impacted our NCAA tourney seeding. So we know it had impact on the past.

We would certainly be better this year with an established returning pg and having Geist be a shooting guard, so I'm not sure I agree that it has no impact this year. Not having him on the roster certainly limits what we can do defensively.

Mark Smith doesn't play the same position, so even if we got the preferred guy we would have adjusted our recruiting I would hope to bring in a pg had we landed a shooting guard we preferred.
