Yes, this problem was probably delayed a year when Frericks last season ended up being 2017-18 instead of 2016-17.
Yes, the current sophomore class and junior class are not aging well, literally no contributions from the sophomores and besides Smith, we aren't getting what we should be getting in their 3rd year from Chavis etc. Yes, Tahane, Chavis, and Schuchts have their moments, but that's not enough.
And the much touted freshman class is just struggling as a whole, Garner injured, Levys playing time hobbled, and Berg and Troup each being far less than advertised, at least so far. I assumed that either Berg or Troup, if not both, would be instant contributors. But they are playing like, well, freshmen.
And the inside situation is not going to be any better unless RP lands another impact recruit/transfer or two. The Jeff City girl is not prepared physically for D1/SEC play and is going to redshirt and won't play until 2020-21.
