Her pros would seem to fit better with what the new system wants to do ideally. But the cons are outweighing that with sloppy play.
Bottom line to me, Pingeton didn’t recruit particularly well to surround Sophie with the maulers that I think suits her game better. She is better suited to be on the 80s Pistons or Celtics, if you will, and now finds herself on a nightmare Warriors team without the talent to execute that system (or the old system for that matter). Poor Sophie looks to be in no woman’s land with this roster. I’m guessing there will be some games the 3s go in and maybe they will get some upsets with that hope. But I’m thinking they are going to struggle with SEC play with a system that may look better in a couple of years but we will have to see how Franks and Blackwell fit in and how Levy, Berg, Troup develop. None of that does the end of the Sophie era much good.
