hired an "outsider". Coming off all the crap of the 2015 season, the last thing he/we needed was a/another mutiny. And maybe Odom was viewed as a caretaker coach who could fill in for a couple years until the campus unrest died down and they could hire someone better. Who knows, besides the people who were involved in making the decision.
