A lot of questions exist around The Oregonian's decision to publish what might otherwise be a protected Juvenile record in another state.
However, the real dilemma & relative outrage surrounding their decision to publish this info they stumbled upon while doing a "Profile" story on Heimlich, beyond the questions about Oregon St.'s knowing & ignoring or their less than adequate vetting of scholarship athletes, is the impact on the victim!!
This can't be a good thing for her. To now have to relive it a devistating occurence inner life that was up until now a private family matter on a mass media, social media stage??
It's not at all as cut & dry as it would seem or most would have the first inclination to think. Thing has become an ethical issue concerning the 4th Estate.

The comments section certainly expresses what the majority thinks. The parents of the now 11 year old girl should pursue a possible legal remedy:
