Abortion comes to mind. Blue Laws come to mind. Suppression and unfair treatment of Queer Nation comes to mind.

Fundamentalists are quite fond of throwing Jesus in your face, so I feel obligated to question it.

Honestly - it is an awesome story. Poor preacher changes history. That is awesome.
