his job is to be a reporter, as is every other recruiting analyst i've linked to throughout this thread.
you choose to believe his job is something completely different, which it appears is where we disagree.
i, however, know the job description. i know the backgrounds of the people in similar positions with that organization and its competitors. i know the business model of those organizations and i understand the drivers of those business models.
but you're probably right. he probably turned his hobby into very specific expertise that supersedes the capabilities of the hundreds of coaches and professionally trained staff members, and he's cashing in on that expertise for $25k a year and a company issued laptop.
and who could blame him? probably pays better than Wolverine Sports Magazine.
