I would beg to differ
And to produce clicks, surely there must be some credibility over time, else who's going to care? If this was so easy, then why don't more of you do it?
The notion that people, be their journalists or football guys, whatever just express opinions without research, talking, thinking, reviewing, adjusting etc is just silly. Few would ever stay in business with that sort of approach. No one argues the ratings services are judgments, often imperfect, but this argument that they are to be ignored when it's clear to anyone that the best schools tend to get the highest rated prospects is there for all to see, and over a period of years. The criticisms are usually smoke screens to cover for a team's poor or mediocre recruiting results. Everyone on every team spends tons of hours pouring over film, talking amonsst themselves, make judgment. This idea that Missour can be so right when others with more successful programs can be so wrong is just flat out foolish. Missouri might do it better than average, but our record and that of similar situated approaches (KState, Iowa) speak for themselves.
