why would we want to overpay for a coach?

We probably need to increase, by a good amount, what we're paying for a good head coach.

But, only like 2 or 3 coaches - Coach K and Calipari, make over $5m per year Pitino. A coach in the top 25-ish range of salary is about $2.2 million.

Maybe due to the current state of affairs we overpay by 20%. That puts us at $2.6-$2.7 million...and get a really good coach!

Why would we need to pay $5m for a coach?
