there were still 10,000 tickets sold for that game.

At best you sell another 5000 tickets per game with a winning program. Even with the ancillary revenue from concessions, merchandising and TSF donations (both of latter two are hard to attribute solely to basketball) and third-tier media/advertising, I don't see how you generate that additional $4M.
