is presumably based on tickets sold. The box score says attendance was 9688, and estimated actual attendance was 5907.

So, 6000 people in the arena and 10,000 tickets sold. I know a number of people who have purchased season tickets who didtn't attend last night.

I was there and I know there were more than 499 other people.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
