rebounder as a sophomore. Gant wasn't a star but he was a solid role player. If we had hired a coach who managed to keep J3, Wright, Clark, and Gant around and recruited SEC-level talent around them we would likely be a bubble team. The reason we are so bad is because we aren't getting players to the upperclassmen level. These repeated claims that they sucked and losing them wasn't a blow is stupid. They weren't superstars but players that come up in the program improve and eventually contribute at high levels and are how you win. Losing these types of players year after year is why programs crater.
